What better way to spend Cupid's day than to have Badgley Mischka as your Valentine? Badgley Mischka brought Hollywood glamour to New York... and I'm not just talking about the collection. Prior to the show beginning, the entire theater started cheering and applauding as the amazing fur-adorned Joan Rivers over-dramatically strutted down the runway.
From backstage to her seat, Rivers was a riot with her comedic catwalk interpretation. To boot, when her "performance" was over, she took her seat next to her Fashion Police co-host Kelly Osbourne, who looked like an edgy little doll. Onlooker Kelly Bensimon seemed to be just as amused as the rest of the crowd.
Enough about the pre-show antics, the show itself was more than enough to cause a stir. Each model sported an oversized afro in addition to fiercely dark eyes and lips. Their beauty looks were very powerful. However, it was of course the gorgeous designs that stole the show... as they should. The evening wear was impeccable. Glittery silhouettes glided down the white runway in dark and muted colors.
Shimmers of gold and silver could be spotted in almost every look. Favorites of mine were the Midnight Chiffon Netted Dress, Jet/Emerald Bead & Sequin Gown, Metallic Black Satin Chiffon & Lame' Gown, and the Smoke/Port Plaid Taffeta Gown. To be honest, even with 43 looks in the collection, there was not one that wasn't flawless.
